What's the Affymetrix Microarray Bulletin?

AMB is a quarterly magazine published by Affymetrix that highlights leading microarray research and diagnostic development from around the world. The AMB features interviews by and for scientists, statisticians and software engineers – one expert interviewing another. Our goal is to create a forum where this community can discuss research and share new resources and information.

What's the AMB Community?

AMB Community is the online home of the Affymetrix Microarray Bulletin (www.microarraybulletin.com). The site features new stories that have not made it to print yet and individual microarray research communities devoted to areas like association studies and transcriptome analysis. The communities feature all of the relevant AMB interviews in that field, and weekly updates of all papers published in that field. The online site also links to AMB Quarterly issues and special issues.

What's the AMB Symposia Series?

The AMB interviews are read by thousands of people in the scientific community and often raise many questions, which readers often don't get the opportunity to ask. To help foster dialog between scientists, Affymetrix Microarray Bulletin has launched the AMB Symposium Series. These dial-in conference calls give scientists an opportunity to present their work—perhaps published just days before -- and take questions from the scientific community. The Symposia calls are very similar to traditional scientific conference symposia, offering a great opportunity for people working in the same field to share their methods, tools and insights.

How do I get AMB interviews added to my news site (yahoo!, MSN, etc.)?

You can have AMB interviews, information about AMB events and abstracts from new papers in your field sent directly to your news reader (such as Yahoo! or MSN). One method is to simply click on the RSS, Yahoo! or MSN icon in the top right corner of the AMB Community site. To learn more about creating your own news feed, click on the "about RSS" icon, also at the top right corner of the site.
